Re: 2019 European SAFe Summit, 7 – 10 May The Hague, Netherlands
I’m writing to ask for approval to attend the European SAFe Summit taking place 7 – 10 May in The Hague, Netherlands. It’s a once-a-year event dedicated to providing knowledge, best practices, and insights around SAFe implementations in the region. Here’s why I think it’s essential that we attend:
The European SAFe Summit is the best place to gain access to top SAFe experts, including the creator of SAFe, Dean Leffingwell, the entire team of SAFe Methodologists, SAFe Fellows, and SAFe Contributors from the community. They will present a range of topics aimed at helping us get the best possible business results from our practice of SAFe. I’ll be able to ask questions face-to-face, and get answers that are specific to our unique needs and objectives.
Through keynotes, presentations, and interactive sessions with Scaled Agile thought leaders and enterprise adopters, I’ll gain actionable insights into the latest resources, tools and strategies for maximizing the value of our investment in SAFe. This will help us overcome roadblock and make smart decisions that can lead to unlocking more business results. What’s more, I will hear about SAFe transformations directly from enterprises, who will share their SAFe journeys, best practices, and pitfalls to avoid.
There will also be a workshop day.
There is no better place for me to connect with the SAFe community than at the European SAFe Summit. I’ll be able to meet other people working through real world implementations, identify opportunities for leveraging working relationships, and evaluate transformation or platform support companies that could help us with our practice of SAFe.
Lastly, the SAFe Summit is an opportunity for our voice to be heard. Scaled Agile leadership will take what they learn from feedback sessions to inform critical decisions they will be making about the future of SAFe and its training offerings. It’s in our best interest to contribute to these important discussions.

I’d like to register as soon as possible as there are only 800 tickets available, and both the Regional SAFe Summit in Europe and Global SAFe Summit in the USA sold out last year. The conference fee is inclusive of food and event fee.
I’ll be sure to submit a post-conference report that will include an executive summary, major takeaways, tips, and a set of recommendations to maximize the return on our current investments in SAFe.
